Day One

Mehendi and Sangeet

Mehendi and Sangeet
Mehendi is one of the most joyful pre-wedding celebrations, where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride and, guests are welcome to join in too!
As the henna dries, the festivities transition into the Sangeet, an evening of music, dancing, and celebration, where both families come together to celebrate, get to know one another, and officially kick off the wedding festivities
What to Expect
Enjoy an evening filled with henna artists, choreographed family performances, live music and DJ, dancing, cocktails, delicious food, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
Guest Tips
- 1If you'd like henna, allow 20–30 minutes for application.
- 2Feel free to enjoy Mehendi in your daytime attire, then change into your glamorous evening outfit before the Sangeet begins.
- 3Don't worry if you don't know the dances; we'll make sure everyone joins the fun!
- 4Comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
Day Two

The Wedding Day - From First Light to the Pheras
08:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Ganesh Pooja & Chooda Rasam
The Chooda Ceremony is a cherished Punjabi bridal tradition where the bride receives a set of red and ivory bangles from her maternal family, symbolizing love, blessings, and the beginning of married life. Before the festivities begin, we also perform a Ganesh Pooja, a Hindu ceremony invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for a joyful and smooth wedding celebration.
What to Expect
This is a smaller, intimate family ceremony filled with prayers, blessings, and a few happy tears. Guests are welcome to join the celebrations as it marks the official beginning of the wedding celebrations.

- 1This is a quieter ceremony compared to the evening events.
- 2Traditional Indian attire is encouraged.
11:00 AM – 01:00 PM
Haldi Ceremony
The Haldi Ceremony involves applying a fragrant turmeric (haldi) paste to the bride and groom. Turmeric is believed to symbolize purification, protection, good health, and prosperity as the couple prepares to begin married life.
What to Expect
Expect lots of laughter, music, and a little friendly chaos! What begins as a simple blessing often turns into playful smearing of turmeric among close family and friends.
Guest Tips
- 1Bright prints and cheerful colors fit perfectly with the celebration. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little yellow on.
05:00 PM – 06:00 PM
Sehra Bandi & Baraat
Before the wedding ceremony, the groom's family and friends gather for the Sehra Bandi, where his ceremonial turban is tied and blessings are offered for the journey ahead.
The celebrations then continue with the Baraat (the wedding procession), the groom's grand entrance to the wedding. Rather than quietly arriving at the ceremony, the groom makes a grand entrance with music, dancing, and all of his family and friends: true Indian wedding style!
What to Expect
A high-energy procession with music, dancing, and plenty of celebration before the wedding ceremony begins.
Guest Tips
- 1Wear whatever you've planned for the wedding ceremony.
- 2Don't be surprised if the Baraat takes a little longer than expected; the dancing is half the fun!
- 3Everyone is welcome to join in. We are one big family, so all our guests are encouraged to dance and celebrate together during the Baraat.
07:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Varmala, Wedding Ceremony & Reception
The evening begins with the Varmala, where we exchange floral garlands to welcome one another in the presence of our family and friends. Our Hindu wedding ceremony will then follow, featuring beautiful traditions that have been celebrated for centuries, including the Saptapadi (seven steps around the sacred fire), lifelong vows, and blessings from our families.
What to Expect
To help everyone follow along, a guide explaining each ritual and its significance will be provided so you can fully enjoy every meaningful moment. After the ceremony, we'll continue the festivities with dinner, music, and dancing as newlyweds.
Guest Tips
- 1The ceremony may last around 60–90 minutes.
- 2Some portions will be explained by our officiant.
- 3Feel free to take photos during appropriate moments unless requested otherwise.
- 4Most importantly, relax, enjoy, and immerse yourself in the experience.
